Some historical matches are found  for Joseph as Imhotep but there is some time discrepancy. So the conclusion seems a bit more than coincidence but not assured fact...for now.

here's a pix of a Ford Taurus Starter which is needed to Start the engine of the Car.  Today I

GIZMO

replaced the failing starter in my old car with a "newer" starter - a used one.  It cost me $38, including shipping.  It worked.  I can now start my car and not be stranded.
To have a garage replace it would have cost between $250 and $300.  I'm not a great mechanic, average at best, but I got it done and feel in my nuts that this was a victory, a joyful day.  This good feeling will nurture me a couple weeks as I fall asleep at night.

Is This Shakspeare?

This 'portrait of Shakespeare' is much different than the traditional ones.  It is owned by a Canadian and has been authenticated as from the time of Shakespeare but debate questions the 'Shakespeare' connection.  Research continues, but personally, based on what we know of the man and his life, I think this is the one.

More About the Easter Rising

Memorial to those who died.

The Easter Rebellion was not well received by most Irish, and great hostility was directed at the Volunteers in some parts of Dublin, according to most historians. Many Irish sons, husbands and fathers were fighting in the British army as WW1 just started and families depended on their Army allowances.  At the surrender, the Volunteers were hissed at, stoned, and verbally abused by their fellow Irish.  But the Rising is credited with spurring the eventual revolution as the people rallied round the rebels when the British executed many, and interred others without trial.

Indonesian pop star Irma Bule died on Monday, 

April 4, after a king cobra bit her mid-performance.
 The singer was 29.

The entertainer continued to sing for a full 45 minutes after the 
serpent sunk its teeth into Bule’s thigh. She then apparently
 collapsed after vomiting and experiencing seizures. 

Bule thought that the cobra was de-fanged and free of venom
 prior to taking the stage 

   

An Amazing Find

A copy of Shakespeare's First Folio, one of the most sought-after books in the world, has been discovered in a stately home on a Scottish island sitting on a shelf.  This copy of the first collected edition of Shakespeare's plays, published in 1623, was found at Mount Stuart House on the Isle of Bute.  Published 7 years after his death, the folio is the only source for 18 of Shakespeare's plays. About 230 copies of the First Folio are known to exist. A copy owned by Oxford University sold for $ 5 mill. in 2003.

Horse Poop Solves Ancient Mystery

Scientists may be closer to revealing the route taken by Hannibal as he crossed to Alps to attack ancient Rome with 37 elephants and thousands of horses. Hannibal's third century BC campaign is seen as one of the greatest military endeavors in antiquity.  A team says they have found a churned up layer of soil at an Alpine pass near the French-Italian border that dates to the time of Hannibal's invasion.  And they have found substantial amounts of Clostridia microbes, common to horse manure.  The microbes are very stable in soil - surviving for thousands of years. 'So son what are you studying at University? Ancient horse sh-t dad."

Bizarre.

This bizarre creature known as the ‘kite runner’  lived about 430 million years ago in what is now England.  The  sea creature apparently dragged its offspring around on strings like kites - a baffling habit not seen anywhere else in the animal kingdom.  Ten capsules tethered to its back appear to contain juvenile progeny, all at different stages of development. "There isn't an animal today that it's essentially related to."

Glass windows may soon be a thing of the past, replaced with transparent wood. Swedish researchers have engineered the non-shattering material by stripping out the component that makes wood brown and replacing it with acrylic. The wood could let in light while still maintaining privacy for residents.

Viking Sagas re North America More Truth Than Fiction.

Archaeologists have used satellite imagery to identify a site in Newfoundland that is probably the first new Viking site discovered in North America in over 50 years. Satellite imagery, magnetometer surveys, and a preliminary excavation of the site at Point Rosee in Southern Newfoundland last year could point to a potentially fascinating discovery.  The only other Viking site in North America was found in the 1960s at L’Anse Aux Meadows on the northern tip of Newfoundland, about 300 miles from Point Rosee.  Imagery suggests additional sites, a major rewrite of history.

Marvels of Science

Scientists in Japan have successfully transplanted mice with lab-grown skin that has more of the organ's working parts in place than ever before. Starting with stem cells made from a mouse's gums, they managed to craft skin with multiple layers - as well as hair follicles and glands.  When implanted into a "nude mouse" with a suppressed immune system, it integrated well and sprouted hairs.
