Emmanuel Macron, the next president of France is 39 years old.  His wife, and former teacher, is 64.  They have been married since 2007, but the relationship started while he was a 16 year old high school student and she was his 39 year old French teacher.  ( In the US we call that a felony.)  His family openly opposed the relationship. When Macron graduated from high school and returned to Paris, she left her job, husband and 3 children and went with him.  They have been together ever since.

Recent studies in the UK verify that the smell of the herb Rosemary improves working memory in adults and children.  The idea is not new as rosemary has been associated with memory for hundreds of years. Ancient Greek students wore garlands of it during exams.  Now if I could just remember where I put the stuff .......

Three Butterflies...in May

I strode long a private way,
Where new petal, bud, and fragrant bloom laid,
Off minor perch three golden butterflies rose,
To dance, and loop ahead in ragged churns,
My guilt for their trouble made,
Was lost when they my friendship chose,
As their sentinel my share was paid,
Along the path four boundless souls,
Kept in band during nature’s go.
