Mr. Chris Parker, 33, and his friend Steven Jones, 35, are long time homeless residents of Manchester UK.  On the night of the recent bombing they were panhandling at the arena when the bomb went off.   Rather than run to safety, they ran to the victims rendering first aid and comfort.  Parker comforted a little girl who had lost her legs.  Jones held a dying woman in his arms until she passed.  Both removed shrapnel from children and are widely recognized as heroes of the day.

If you live in an area where coyotes regularly roam, you can increase cat safety by doing the following:

1. Keep food and water bowls inside.
2. Supervise your cat while in the yard, especially at dawn and dusk; never give your cat free access to the outside

Interesting for us beer drinkers.

A 4 mile, 14 inch diameter underground beer pipeline is being laid for the Wacken Open Air (WOA) hard rock festival, which kicks off in northern Germany in August.  The beer flow rate should reach six glasses every six seconds, an improvement over previous years and project eliminates hundreds of beer delivery truck runs --- 75,000 fans are expected.  JP has designed one for Baldwin Hill.
