A famous Irish Fairy: Aoibheal

Irish fairies are as old as the land itself. Fairies are the children of the goddess Diana or the Tuatha Dé Danann. Fairies live among the people within hills known as Fairy Mounds. Every mound or kingdom has a king and a queen. One particular mound north of Munster is believed to be ruled by the beautiful Queen Aoibheal. The legend tells that, Aoibheal foretold the outcome of a disastrous battle at Clontarf.
