The man had a PBS series in late 70's with the Pittsburgh Orchestra. Some 27 episodes in which an invited performer and his orchestra joined  in a classical work to be followed by Previn interviewing his guest. It was the most popular series of it kind on TV. This void was never really filled.

His personal life is just as episodic; 5 failed marriages, and 9 children including his adopted daughter Soon-Yi (married to Woody Allen).
