The oldest known love letter is in the Istanbul Archeological
Museum in Turkey. It was found about 2200 B.C in the Niffer Valley, about 150
km from Baghdad, Iraq. It was a tradition for the bride to write a romantic
poem for her husband on the night they were to marry. The content of the poem
was very meaningful and it was intended only for beloved spouse.
