Chocolate Eggs at Easter?

The Christian custom of Easter eggs started among the early Christians of Mesopotamia, who stained eggs with red colouring in memory of the blood of Christ, shed at His cruxiffiction. The Church  officially adopted the custom, regarding the eggs as a symbol of the new life of the resurection.  Decorated eggs as a symbol of spring predate Christianity.  The French introduced the chocolate kind in the 16th century.

Arielle.....Good Friday ambassador

https://www.youtube.com/watch?time_continue=9&v=FcCeLKE919E

During her mother Genevieve’s final weeks of pregnancy in 2013, doctors noticed there were issues with Arielle’s heart. Arielle was born with dilated cardiomyopathy and immediately transferred to The Royal Children’s Hospital.
After multiple tests it was revealed that the left side of Arielle’s heart wasn’t functioning, Genevieve and her husband Carl were told to prepare for the worst. At that time, a heart transplant wasn’t an option nor had it ever been performed on a child of Arielle’s age.
At eight days old, it became clear that Arielle wasn’t going to recover and specialists at The Royal Children’s Hospital made a bold decision to fit her with a Berlin Heart, a mechanical cardiac support system that supports children with severe heart failure. A child that young, at just over a week old, had never been fitted with such a device in Australia.
Thanks to this life-saving decision made by the RCH specialists the Berlin Heart supported Arielle and at five-months-old she was lucky enough to receive a heart transplant, making her one of the youngest ever recipients in Australia.

Tyrone's 9 year war with England

Hugh O'Neill, Earl of Tyrone

Queen Elizabeth I  feared the loss of Ireland under Tyrone's succeeding rebellion and his association with Spain ( the pending arrival of an army of Invasion).  Under Earl of Essex, she dispatched 16,000 troops to Dublin. This was the largest ever assembled under her reign and at a great cost to the Crown. After a year the English army was reduced by death in combat and disease as well as dissertion to some 3000 troops.

Mary Queen of Scotts...the movie

The looks of the Mary and Elizabeth  (both redheads, Mikey) are most unsettling alike to their portraits. One must remember Mary (fervent Catholic) was next to throne after Elizabeth (ardent Protestant).

Tis the Last Rose of Summer by Thomas Moore

Tis the last rose of summer
Left blooming alone;
All her lovely companions
Are faded and gone:
No flower of her kindred,
No rose-bud is nigh,
To reflect back her blushes,
Or give sigh for sigh.

Portrait of an Ageing Elizabeth I by Gareth Russell

Official portraits of Elizabeth 1 ( of which many were produced for public viewing over the decades ) were required to show Her Majesty with young face and figure. This was for reason of perpetuating the physical majesty of her monarchy as well her vanity. Real-look portraits were collected and destroyed were possible.

Some survived, some were painted after her death.

It is a permanent resident in the southern United States, though northern birds may migrate as far south as South America. The turkey vulture is widespread over open country, subtropical forests, shrublands, deserts, and foothills.

Each March 15, the city of Hinckley, Ohio eagerly awaits the return of the buzzards at the Hinckley Reservation in the Cleveland Metroparks. ... The buzzard, a common name for the turkey vulture, is a large, (6foot wing span) graceful bird with a bald head and red beak.

New Theory

Science has long held that our ancestors, the Celts. originated in Central Europe, largely based on archaeological evidence of large and fairly sophisticated settlements 500 BC.  Roman and Greek narratives support the idea.  However, recent science demonstrates that Celtic weapons were being manufactured with Celtic methods in the British Isles and Portugal 500 years earlier.  The Celts came from the Irish and not the Irish from the Celts.  Who knew.

Spring?

I wandered lonely as a cloud
That floats on high o’er vales and hills,
When all at once I saw a crowd,
A host, of golden daffodils;
Beside the lake, beneath the trees,
Fluttering and dancing in the breeze.
