Jack in the Pulpit
Jack in the Pulpit root is acrid, antiseptic, diaphoretic, expectorant, irritant and stimulant. A medicinal poultice of root used for headaches and various skin diseases. Ointment used for ringworm, tetterworm and abscesses treatments. Native Americans also used the root as a contraceptive.
jpr: dont never recall seeing the thing... spose to be a wetland plant...been about many a creek, pond, river bank.
