The Spanish Catholic Church and Ministry of Health have agreed to open up their archives to parents who believe their children may have been stolen at birth, following legal proceedings at the European Courts. Thousands of children, perhaps 300, 000, are thought to have been taken since the 1930s by the government and The Church. Funnelled to criminal gangs, they were sold into adoption. The practice continued into the1990's. Gets harder to be a Catholic everyday.
