King tut

Digital reconstruction of the boy king's face.

Research revealed that the 19-year-old pharaoh likely died of a combination of malaria and a degenerative bone disorder in his left foot. That would explain why about 130 canes and walking sticks were found in Tut’s tomb. He also had a cleft palate. A previous examination had also revealed a broken leg, probably from a fall.
