oldest sailing ship
Her Majesty's Ship Victory was Admiral Horatio Nelson's Flagship in the Battle of Trafalgar. She was a 100 gun "First Rate" vessel. Construction began on July 23,1759 and she slipped down the ways on May 7, 1765. She is now on display in No.2 Drydock at Portsmouth's Royal Navy Dock Yard. She is believed to be seaworthy.
