ancient Celtic Design

This ancient Celtic Design is taken from the Celtic Burial Mound at New Grange in Co. Meath. This design pre-dates the arrival of Christianity in Ireland by some 3,000 years. It is thought to be the oldest Celtic symbol and is supposed to represent the 3 stages of man: Birth, Death, Eternity. Available in Black.

  1. I'm not one to question the authority of science and discovery but if I were the archaeological gumshoe on this project, I'd probably go with my gut feeling (remember, simplest explanation is likely the best) and tell you that this is not a symbol of life, death, etc. It is an ancient design for a Frisbee.

  2. It may be that the prototype stone Frisbee failed its test flights and proved useless. Then they sold it to a shoemaker who passed it off as a holy item.

  3. One more note. The discovery of this artifact is pretty good proof that Frisbee throwers and their dogs are godless heathens. Stay out of my yard.
