Marcellus deposit left, Utica deposit right

Exxon Mobil views the Utica shale formation as a prime petroleum resource. A Reuters news item reported that Exxon is acquiring acreage in eastern Ohio for oil drilling. The Utica deposit lies below the Marcellus deposit.
