nuclear radiation on Earth and Mars

Radioactive material from the Fukushima nuclear disaster has been found in tiny sea creatures and ocean water some 186 miles (300 kilometers) off the coast of Japan (above).
             
About 180 millions years ago million megaton atomic detonation(s) is supposed to have scattered radioactive dust all over the planet. The Martian surface is covered with a thin layer of radioactive substances including uranium, thorium and this pattern radiates from a hot spot. This nuclear disaster was centered in Mare Acidalium (below).

jpr: its a bit much to assume the Mars explosion(s) as a natural event only. Perhaps?
