One For JP's Garden

The bloom of the Titan Arum flower is typically between 6 and 8 feet tall (the largest on record was just over 10 feet tall),  weighing as much as 110 pounds.  In bloom it emits a foul odor of rotting flesh, thus the name corpse flower.  Native to Sumatra and rare even in the wild.   The plant generally blooms once every 7-10 years and can go as long as 12.

  2. as plants and creatures adapt and struggle to survive it is thought that this flower evolved this smell over many years to attract tax collectors.
