Happy B-day Shakespeare


Our Will is 400 years old.  Experts credit him with introducing more than 2,500 words and phrases still used in everyday language, some examples: “Be-all and the end-all” , “Neither a borrower nor a lender be, “Refuse to budge an inch”, “Dead as a doornail”,“Devil incarnate” ,“Eaten me out of house and home”,“Faint hearted”, “Fancy-free”, “Forever and a day”, “For goodness’ sake” , “Foregone conclusion” , “Full circle” , “Jealousy is the green-eyed monster” ,“Heart of gold”, “Wild-goose chase” just to name a few.
