dog dirt and more

I often wonder about small business's that add to their product "and more".  For example:  "Leather stuff, and more"; or "hair salon and more".  It seems to my observations that these places frequently go out of business.  I think it may have to do with the amorphous addition of "and more"  to their masthead.  More what? Maybe someone came into the store/business for say a haircut.  And off to the side you see that they sell "live bait".  Hell, I'm going straight to a shop that sells only haircuts. 

my back and balance is getting back to health somewhat, so when I was walking this am and hit a muddy spot I fell/slid/broke my ass.
