A Viking grave unearthed in Sweden in the 1880s had long been held as a prime example of the male viking warrior. Clearly the grave of a high ranking person, contents included 2 horses, sword, an ax, shields, other battle regalia, and a board game. Recent testing determined the skeleton to be that of a woman in her 30's, The legend of female Viking warriors is long standing but this discover is the first to identify one clearly a VIking leader.
