Another Useless Factoid

Gene Roddenberry of Star Trek fame, and countless other popular works, was actually Sgt. Roddenberry,  LAPD, retired.  He began his writing career while a serving police officer, penning several episodes of Highway Patrol starring Broderick Crawford.  Who knew.
