The Scots are a magical people.

Two years ago French artist Clet Abraham went around Edinburgh painting humorous additions to road signs.  Not in out of the way neighborhoods but on busy streets.  The City  immediately ruled them illegal but left them while the city council decides what to do to preserve the 'fine art work.'   Suspect they'll never come down.  Wonderful, whimsical country.
