The Green Man is an architectural feature commonly found in the interiors of 14th and 15th Century English churches. The figure has many variations, but all show vegetation growing from a man's face. The Green Man predates Christianity, has no apparent connection to Christian worship and has been found in temples as far away as Iran. Some researchers suggest it has something to do with Roman gods. But in a Christian Church a thousands years after Rome left England.???
